昨日、LightSwitchのblogから、メールが届いた。

The main points of the article are:

• Visual Studio 2015 is the last release of Visual Studio that includes the LightSwitch tooling.
• [we will] continue to support users with existing LightSwitch applications, including critical bug fixes and security issues as per the Microsoft Support Lifecycle [until 2020].
• We no longer recommend LightSwitch for your new apps

悲しいかな、LightSwitchが搭載されのが、VisualStudio2015が最後
しかも、2020年までしか、サポートしない。

Mobile Appが出てきたから、実行ＯＳは、マルチプラットフォーム
サーバーサイドは、クラウドサービス Azureで動作するので
Microsoftは、LightSwithを捨てたんだろう。

後任は、PowerAppsになるのかな？
業務アプリも、OSが Windowsだけですと、エンドユーザーに説明出来なくなってきた。
マルチプラットフォームは、聞こえはいいが、テストする側からすると、地獄
コストを考えると、実際は、不具合が出てから、現象再現後、修正するようになると思う。
